PATZCUARO

Often times when people come for extended stays, a couple of weeks or more, they enjoy splitting their time between different locations. We would like to share with you one of our favorite getaways that compliments perfectly to our beach and sand, the highlands of our neighboring state to the north, Michoacán. Rich in history dating back thousands of years to pre-Hispanic times right through the Spanish colonial period and on into Mexico’s early history, this region has a lot to offer!
Michoacán is referred to as the Soul of Mexico, and with good reason. Pine forests, clean air, waterfalls and parks, historical cities and villages and unrivaled artisans give you plenty to explore in the region.
Patzcuaro is a shining example of tradition. A pueblo that holds its history close to its heart. Amazing cathedrals, regional arts and crafts, a thriving indigenous community and so much more. Take a step back in time and explore this “pueblo magico” and the surrounding region.
